Design a concept for our first Mumbai flagship — a tea space where customers taste our blends, learn our story, and feel the brand in the room.
Dana Pani is an early-stage premium tea brand rooted in Indian heritage and Ayurveda. We sell three functional blends — Masala Chai, Spearmint Tulsi, and Classic Digestive — each built around a real wellness benefit. Our tea bags are handmade by underprivileged women earning dignified employment, and that mission sits at the center of the brand, not on the side.
We're imagining what it would look like to bring Dana Pani into the physical world with a flagship store in Mumbai. A place where someone can taste the teas, hear the story, and walk out understanding what we mean by "luxury through intention" — calm, earthy, heritage-rich, mindful.
Your job is to act as our design team and put that space on paper. Start with research: premium tea houses, wellness cafés, heritage-inspired retail in India and abroad. Pull a mood board that matches how Dana Pani should feel. Then design the concept — look and feel, layout, customer flow from entrance to tea-tasting to retail to seating, a spot that tells the social-impact story, materials, colors, lighting, signage, and the small signature touches that make the space unmistakably ours. Factor in Mumbai: neighborhood fit, the climate, and how to make the space inviting to both tea people and first-timers.
Deliverable: a concept presentation (deck or PDF) with mood board, a simple floor-plan sketch, notes on materials/colors/lighting/signage, and a short write-up of how the design reflects the brand and the mission. Sketches of the storefront or tea-tasting counter are welcome. A neighborhood recommendation with reasoning is welcome too.
You'll get: our brand deck, product details for the three blends, photography of our packaging, and notes on the artisan program. No architectural precision needed — this is a creative concept, and mood boards, sketches, and clear thinking are exactly what we want.
